What does a volcano sound like? ritmo volcán is Minia Biabiany’s first monograph. Situated in Guadeloupe, her practice has become crucial in reflecting on colonial processes in the Caribbean. Biabiany focuses on perceptions of our surroundings, the structures of language, and how a set of experiences, memories, and temporalities converge in the body, reconfiguring our ways of being — learning to listen to the wind, devour the soil and observe with words.
