CRAC Alsace is a contemporary art center dedicated to experimentation and creation. Through exhibitions, residencies, publications, and outreach programmes, CRAC Alsace supports artistic production by promoting the encounter between artists, publics and works of art.
CRAC Alsace is supported by Ville d’Altkirch, Conseil Départemental du Haut-Rhin, Région Grand Est, DRAC Grand Est—Ministère de la Culture.
The creation of the CRAC Alsace artist residency was supported by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (LEADER program).
CRAC Alsace is also supported by the association of friends Les Amis du CRAC Alsace, which was founded in 1996 to promote the art center, support its activities, extend its reach, and encourage exchanges with artists.
The CRAC Alsace research collection holds more than 3000 books specialised in contemporary art, and is accessible to the public in the art center's library space.
