CEAAC—Mirage, Duo -Y-, March 22–September 7, 2025
In residence for the “Mission de territoire–arts visuels” program from 2023 to 2025, thanks to the support of the Grand Est Region, Duo -Y-, composed of Ilazki de Portuondo and Julie Laymond, traveled between the energetic areas of Alsace, Moselle, and the Vosges to encounter spiritual beliefs and practices related, in particular but not exclusively, to water and its healing properties. As part of Mirage, their solo exhibition at the CEAAC, the artists produced divining rods to test their dowsing technique in Krutenau, the art center's neighborhood, which is entirely marked, from its geographical location to the names of its streets, by its relationship to water, particularly the Ill River.

Kunsthalle Mulhouse—Overflowing the River, a group exhibition with Carolina Caycedo, Angéline Dubois, Encastrable (Antoine Lejolivet and Paul Souviron), Tanja Engelberts, Guillaumit, Mariana Murcia, Marie Ouazzani and Nicolas Carrier, Charles Prime, and James Webb, June 13–October 26, 2025
After the Rhine, the Ill is the main river in Alsace, flowing from south to north. The exhibition Overflowing the River considers the Ill as an entity linked to resources, activities, and species. Through a collection of works that take the river as a symbol or the Ill as an example, it takes the time to observe these links and echo a system in which each element of a landscape is indispensable to the flourishing of the other. The voice of the Ill mingles with those of humans, plants, and animals to describe an ideal ecosystem in which the rights of each component are heard.

CRAC AlsaceLayer of Wildness, a group exhibition, June 19–October 12, 2025
How can we preserve the river's energy? Joshua Merchan Rodriguez accelerates the erosion of objects by capturing the force of the river's flow. Seulgi Lee encapsulates that flow in amulet flasks. Mariana Murcia transforms spring water into a living beverage. Marie Raffn reveals the waterway’s body through textile stitches and knots. Caretto & Spagna transfuse energy by collecting fragments of soil. Jessica Warboys perceives Antigone through a statue of Joan of Arc hidden in the Ill River during the war. The water’s memory overflows.
