On Sunday, July 21, 2019, from 3 to 6pm, Speaking About The Invisible, a workshop by Amilcar Packer in collaboration with Gabrielle Folzer.

What is matter? What is the invisible? How to unpack language so as to speak about things without understanding them? This workshop proposes to develop a common vocabulary to talk to / about / with the invisible by using techniques of translation, hybridisation, mediation, or divination when words are lacking.

Amilcar Packer was born in Santiago de Chile in 1974. His artistic practice aims to intervene in our political imagination by producing moments of exchange and conviviality, while his research manifests itself in public programmes of collective learning and debate. Amilcar Packer is currently conducting research at the Social Justice Institute at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, questioning the need to reframe spatial and temporal scales to shift the reproductive roles of coloniality.
