CRAC Alsace is pleased to invite you to a concert interpreted by students the Music School of Sundgau in the heart of the exhibition On Glaciers and Avalanches.

In echo to the exhibition of Irene Kopelman, On Glaciers and Avalanches, the students of the Music School of Sundgau propose a broke out concert. Rather than a simple illustration, the budding musicians will build a musical atmosphere in each room of the exhibition inspired by the present place and the work of the artist. Besides the works mentioning the bitter cold, as Satie’s and Vivaldi’s pieces, the various instrumental formations (strings, wind instruments, piano) will evoke the dizzy space of the mountains through various traditional plays from the alpine areas, considering the art center’s space as a vast echo chamber, like the vast alpine valleys.

 

 

 

 

 

On Glaciers and Avalanches is organised with the support of Mondriaan Funds, Foundation Laurenz House and with the collaboration of Institut Kunst HGK FHNW, Basel. This exhibition is part of Oh ! Pays-Bas saison culturelle néerlandaise en France 2017-2018.
