Christelle Lheureux expérimente avec les stratégies du remake, du double et de la rupture, qui lui permettent de dissocier l’image des techniques de production. Non ricordo il titolo (J’ai oublié le titre) (2008) est une vidéo noir et blanc filmée dans le décor romanesque de l’île de Stromboli, avec les sosies professionnels d’Ingrid Bergman et de Marcello Mastroianni. Le titre rend hommage aux gloires passées du cinéma, mais évoque également le fantasme partiellement conscient, présent en filigrane dans l’œuvre, laissant le spectateur en suspens entre le rêve et la fable, la mémoire et l’oubli, le passé et le présent.

Christelle Lheureux (France, 1972) experiments with the strategies of the remake, the double and rupture that allow her to dissociate the image from the mechanics of production. Non ricordo il titolo (I forgot the title) (2008), a black and white video was shot on the romantic island of Stromboli with professional look-alikes of Ingrid Bergman and Marcello Mastroianni. The title pays homage to early masters of the cinema but also echoes the semi-unconscious fantasy that weaves through the work, leaving the spectator in limbo between dream and fable, memory and oblivion, past and present.

Die Künstlerin experimentiert mit den Strategien des Remake, des Doubelns und der Brüche, durch die es ihr gelingt, das Bild von den Produktionstechniken loszulösen. Non ricordo il titolo (Ich habe den Titel vergessen) aus dem Jahr 2008 ist ein Schwarz-Weiß-Video, das vor der romantischen Kulisse der Insel Stromboli mit professionellen Doubeln von Ingrid Bergman und Marcello Mastroianni aufgenommen wurde. Der Titel ist eine Hommage an die vergangenen glorreichen Zeiten des Kinos, evoziert aber ebenso die in ihrem Werk filigran präsente, nur teilweise erkennbare Fantasiewelt, die den Betrachter gespannt zwischen Traum und Fabel Erinnerung und Vergessen, Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zurücklässt.
